Download Counter Extension does not count up custom field

i use the Download-Lock-Module to count the downloads of about 1000 Files in a File-Exchange-Weblog (one entry per file)
i have two custom fields which (should) contain the total and monthly-total downloads.

now i installed the download-count-extension ... but it does not work! it does not count up in the custom fields! :-( the specific fields are set in the CP/Extensions/Preferences

DynoCat show children only?

Is there any way to get DynoCat to display only children of a category? For example, I’ve got a category tree of Region > City > Locations and I’ve got an idea for making popup menus for a nav/breadcrumb system. I can get the first popup to display only the parent (region) categories just fine but the second popup will always have all the cities listed (good) but with the region as the first option in the popup (bad). Maybe I should just use CSS hover lists instead, but I thought it might work out cool like this.

Download Lock, {total_downloads} not counting correctly

Using Download Lock 1.0, {total_downloads} counts 2 for every download.
